Our client, a medical distribution company that develops approaches to sustainable healthcare delivery, is looking to employ candidates on a 24-month fixed term internship for their Logistics Warehouse Clerk position. This role consists of stock taking, preparing and recording documents, handling of delivery/collection as well as on call and shift duties. Suitable candidates would need to have a diploma or degree in supply chain management, logistics or similar and have their own vehicle with a valid driver's license. This position is based in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Receiving, packing, and sending of all required loan sets to branches and hospital cases
  
• Handle delivery / collection of loan sets and stock from customer, airport and / or couriers when required
  
• Perform “on call & shift” duties i.e.: collection / receipting / delivery of stock / loan sets wherever and whenever necessary
  
• Checking of all instruments for functionality to ensure good working order of instruments
  
• Preparation of appropriate documentation to accompany loan sets to / from customer
  
• Usages from loan sets to be accurately recorded and copies thereof to be given to the invoicing department
  
• Recording and notification of missing / broken instrumentation
  
• Follow up with hospital staff and sales representatives regarding broken / missing instrumentation and stock
  
• Preparation for and participating in quarterly stock takes
  
• Weekly stock counts
  
• Requisitioning of loan sets and implants and follow up of flight details
  
• Assist with the accurate recording of bookings from customers when required
  
• Assist with any general duties in CSD as and when required

Requirements

• 
  Preference will be given to graduates with a Degree/ Diploma in supply chain management, logistics, or similar.
  
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  
• Good, and clear communication, fluency in English.
  
• Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
  
• Candidate needs to be able to work after hours, night shift, on call and for stock takes – not negotiable.
  
• ERP System experience an advantage.
  
• Previous working experience will be an advantage (Min 1 year)
  
• Ability to work under pressure
  
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
